Learn English NZ Programme
This is how our English programme works:
You can start to learn English on holiday on any day or at any time of the year and stay as long as you want. For you to feel you have made real progress in English, plan to stay for two weeks, but even a short one week stay can produce amazing results. Some people come for one week then travel independently and then return for a second week of tuition.
The programme we recommend will immediately give you the chance to practice and rapidly improve your English. The lessons concentrate on speaking, understanding, reading and writing everyday English, and are adapted to your level. Both Kevin and Maisie were born in the UK and are native English speakers, hold Masters degrees, general teaching qualifications and TESOL qualifications (Teach International Certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language), enabling them to teach at all levels, from beginners to advanced. The lessons focus on general English or are adapted to your requirements (for example, English for study, Business English).
We suggest a minimum of 10 hours of lessons per week, that is 2 hours per day. Higher number of lessons (15 -20 hours) are also possible (price per arrangement). The lessons are usually in the mornings or early evening. In addition to the lessons, we set you some extra work for private study, both in our well equipped home, or in the Wellington community. We want it to be enjoyable to learn English on vacation.
While most of your time will be with us, there will be time for you to be on your own.
The afternoons and some evenings are free with many opportunities for sightseeing, 
walking along the beach, visiting museums and shops in Wellington, concerts, socialising and exploring New Zealand’s natural beauty. We also accompany you on at least one trip around the region and act as your guide. In the past, people have chosen a tramping trip, a wine tour amongst some of our many vineyards, mountain biking or a cruise to the South Island. When we act as your guides, we ask you to pay expenses for the guide (public transport, entrance fees and meals away from home)
